Announcing Our Alliance with UF Health

Advanced ER Care in Your Community

SEBASTIAN, FL (September 28, 2012) - Our new alliance with UF Health brings a new level of care to Indian River County: the Heart and Stroke Emergency Specialists. Already recognized for their heart and stroke emergency care, this program brings more advanced protocols and techniques, plus real-time consulting with the University's highly acclaimed doctors. This results in better care, better outcomes and a better overall experience for our patients.

This is a unique partnership between Sebastian River Medical Center and UF Health to strengthen and improve cardiac and stroke emergency services in in our community.

This means real-time teleconferencing consultations between physicians, continuing education and all other levels of hands-on exchange. Patients can expect more accurate, in-depth diagnoses. Those patients requiring tertiary care will receive preferred transfer benefits to UF Health Shands Hospital.

UF Health is very selective in determining which hospitals with which to partner and extend its programs. UF Health handpicked Sebastian River Medical Center so patients benefit from two great caregivers joining forces.

In an emergency, patients should not start comparing hospital emergency rooms and should feel confident that Sebastian River Medical Center is best capable of treating a chest pain or stroke emergency.
